Challenges are a key feature within our product. The challenges screen is a summary of different types of information related to the challenges. Through this screen, users are able to see the challenges in which they are registered, the current challenges and the previous challenges.

Challenge creation is the main way to interact within your community. Challenges are a fabulous tool to motivate and encourage your community to be active. Choose from a variety of challenges to fulfill your needs.

Visual assets

1.Cards

When the users navigate through the index of different challenges, they will visually receive the main aspects of the challenge. In these cards, the users could check the title of the challenge, the objective and the remaining time. In addition, these cards include an image and a badge or logo.

The image (750x738 pixels, .jpg, .png, 200kb max) of your card should reflect the main purpose of your challenge. We recommend not to use images with white background, text and logos.

2.Cover (desktop only)

The cover (2360x1000 pixels, .jpg, .png, 300kb max) illustrates your challenge and, therefore, should reflect the main purpose of it. We recommend not to use images with white background, text and logos.

Tip: we recommend to use another image as one used for the card challenge.

3.Badges

The badge or logo is a graphic representation of your challenge. It helps users to understand and identify the challenge. When a user completes the challenge, they will be awarded the badge of this challenge that will show in their profile. It may take the form of an abstract or figurative design, or it may present a stylized version of the challenge details, be creative!

The image of your badge can take the shape you want, but the image provided must be integrated into a square ratio image of 500x500 pixels (.png, 200kb max).

Visibility

There are two different ways in which you could increase the visibility of your challenges.

Promote

If you promote your challenge, it will appear on the carousel of challenge images also promoted at the top of the challenge list.

In order to promote a challenge, you will need, as in the challenges, a card image, a cover image and a logo. Be sure you meet the following specifications for the images:

•Card image: 750x720 pixels, PNG or JPG, 200kb max. •Cover image: 2880x1100 pixels, PNG or JPG, 300kb max. •Logo image: 750x720, PNG, 200kb max.

You must not have any text in the visual. We also recommend not to use images with white background.

Tip: play with the image gradient in order to have the left part of the image (where the logo and the text are) with the simplest background possible.

Highlight

You could highlight a challenge in order to increase its visibility. You should consider that this functionality works differently in mobile and desktop.

If you choose to highlight a challenge in our back-office, this challenge will be highlighted on the App dashboard through a banner, but only for those users who are not registered yet.

We recommend not to use images with a white background.

You should choose an image for the banner (670x220 pixels, .jpg, .png, 200kb max).

If you choose to highlight a challenge in our back-office, the card of the challenge will show two times bigger.

The image used will be the same as the image you put for the cover image. Keep in mind that the image will be cropped by its center and a gradient at the bottom of the image will be applied.

Types of challenges

Generally, almost all the challenges have the following elements:

•Objective (not mandatory for some type of challenges) •Number of participants •Finishers •Starts in / Time left •Progress bar (the user should have registered in the challenge)

Where the users are able to get the full information of the challenge (description, dates, conditions, prizes to win, etc.). It's possible to add images and videos (embed video) to the description in order to help the user to better understand the challenge. Those images doesn't have a specific format, but it's important to keep the size compact.

If you want to set a prize for the challenge you should keep in mind some important information.

You should choose an image (760x506 pixels, .jpg, .png, 200kb max) which reflect your prize(s). The image you choose will appears in the mobile and web version. We recommend no to use images with white background.

Check the different types of challenges and their particularities:

1.Solo

Solo challenges are those challenges in which the user (alone) tries to reach a specific goal. The objetive is to challenge an individual to complete a sport requirement and to promote self achievement.

When you set a goal, you have a broad range of plausible options; for example, if you want to create a challenge in which the goal is to achieve 10KM, you could choose between different ways to achieve this goal. For example, users need to reach 10KM, but they are able to reach the goal through different activities.

It's possible to set a prize and select the activities that are taken into account for the challenge.

If you set a prize(s), it will be manually allocated by random draw at the end of the challenge. Users will have only one chance to win the prize(s).

2.Instant Win

Instant Win allow you to change the mechanic of how users won the prize.

If you choose instant win, users will be able to check, immediately after finishing the challenge, if they have won something. Users will be able to try their luck more than once and they could see the quantity of prizes left and the winners (before the challenge is finished).

We recommend this type of challenge if you want to set a high amount of prizes (15, 30, or more).

3.Paid challenge

All of the different challenges have the option to turn into a paid challenge. This feature allow you to set an entry fee to the challenge. You need to add an image (760x506 pixels, .jpg, .png, 200kb max) to illustrate your registration.

It's possible to offer more than one option. For example, you could offer one option for free, and another option (which includes more things) for 10€.

Below you have an example of this feature.

4.Race

Race challenges are similar to solo challenges, but with the difference that they allow you to organize a race in which the results will show through a ranking.

5.Group challenge

Group challenges are slightly different from the ones described above. They allow you to create challenges in which users could compete with each other in groups with a dedicated ranking (could be deactivated). Within the ranking, it's possible to filter by teams or individuals.

It's possible to use the groups which already exist in the App or to create new custom groups.

The goal you set could be measured in different ways. It's possible to set a goal that is measured in Km, duration, or points.

These type of challenges include an element which is not present anywhere else, this element is called ''my contribution", which shows the individual contribution made to challenge.

Infinite

In case you don't want to set a goal because you're not sure about which goal suits your users best, you have the possibility to create a challenge without a specific goal.

The image above shows an example of Race challenge with the paid feature.
